UPDATE: Two men were brutally slashed by knife-wielding attackers in Queens early this morning, leaving one victim hospitalized with serious injuries. The shocking incident occurred just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, along Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside, police report.
According to law enforcement sources, the victims were attempting to retrieve a two-wheeled device when they were ambushed by two suspects. The 27-year-old man sustained a slash wound to his face, while the 25-year-old man suffered a severe injury to his neck. Emergency Medical Services rushed the older victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The younger man declined medical assistance at the scene, authorities said.
Officers from the 108th Precinct responded swiftly after receiving a 911 call about the attack. Upon arrival, they found the victims and quickly secured the area. A knife was recovered at the scene, indicating the violent nature of the assault.
Authorities are actively searching for the two suspects responsible for this alarming attack but have yet to release descriptions of the individuals involved. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
