Ski Films Hit Theaters Soon: Experience the Thrill of Winter

UPDATE: Ski season is officially kicking off as snow guns roar to life across Colorado mountains, signaling an exciting winter ahead. As anticipation builds, ski films are set to hit theaters and brewpubs, celebrating the exhilarating world of winter sports.

Teton Gravity Research is poised to premiere “Pressure Drop” on October 25 at Wibby Brewing in Longmont. This film marks a major milestone, celebrating 30 years of TGR films, bringing enthusiasts together for an unforgettable experience.

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated Warren Miller Entertainment film, “Sno-Ciety,” showcases thrilling segments filmed across stunning locations. It will be screened at the Boulder Theater with five shows from November 13 to 15, and at the Paramount Theater in Denver for three shows on November 21 and 22. This film includes an exciting nine-minute segment captured at Denver’s Ruby Hill Rail Yard terrain park, highlighting the spirit of fun and inclusivity.

Don’t miss “After the Snowfall,” produced by Matchstick Productions, which will be showcased on November 6 at Woods Boss Brewing in Denver. This film highlights breathtaking footage from iconic locations including Arapahoe Basin and Japan, underlining the global allure of skiing.

Both films promise to take viewers on a thrilling journey through the powder-filled landscapes of Norway, Alaska, British Columbia, and California’s Palisades Tahoe. The excitement is palpable as ski fans prepare to witness their favorite athletes in action.

Currently, ski areas across Colorado, including Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Winter Park, Vail, and Beaver Creek, are actively engaged in snowmaking operations. This early snow production sets the stage for what promises to be a thrilling season.
