In a decisive showdown, the SDSU Aztecs continued their winning streak, defeating Boise State 83-54 at Viejas Arena on Saturday. The victory follows a 63-53 win against Fresno State, marking their second straight win in the Mountain West Conference. Guard Naomi Panganiban shined, averaging 17.0 points per game over the last four contests, propelling the Aztecs to a 2-0 conference record.
Meanwhile, USD is on a roll, with two consecutive wins heading into their West Coast Conference play. Their latest victory came against Boise State, fueling optimism as they prepare for upcoming road challenges.
The weekend was not without its challenges for other local teams. The Point Loma Nazarene men’s and women’s teams faced tough losses in PacWest Conference games against Azusa Pacific.
