UPDATE: The Central Invitational wrestling tournament concluded today in Park Hills, with Potosi boys dominating the event, scoring 201 points to secure the championship. Meanwhile, the Ste. Genevieve girls team triumphed with a remarkable 270.5 points, showcasing their strength across multiple weight classes.

In an electrifying final, junior Karsen Boyer of Potosi clinched his third individual title after a crucial turnaround in the second period. He was joined by teammates Carter Pyatt and Gavin Stone, who also took home first-place finishes, solidifying Potosi’s dominance over a competitive field of 17 teams.

Potosi’s success was marked by stellar performances from multiple wrestlers, with Pyatt securing an 18-0 technical fall victory in the 165-pound championship match. Stone and Boyer both exhibited impressive skills, with Boyer surviving a near fall against Central’s freshman Lane Warden to maximize his scoring. The Trojans fended off strong competition from Affton, Gateway Science, and Pattonville.

North County also made notable strides, with senior Aiden Nash and junior Jamal Robinson each winning their respective championships by pinning all their opponents. Nash was particularly dominant, allowing only three points throughout the tournament.
