Netflix is set to launch its first original podcast, featuring comedian and former “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson. The streaming service announced on January 30, 2024, that Davidson will host a weekly video podcast titled “The Pete Davidson Show,” which will premiere at midnight PST. New episodes will be released every week, providing audiences with an inside look at Davidson’s conversations with friends and guests.
The podcast will primarily be filmed in Davidson’s garage, a space he describes as where “all the best conversations happen.” While the garage will serve as the main backdrop, Davidson plans to occasionally take the show on the road, adding variety to the format. Notably, “The Pete Davidson Show” will be exclusive to Netflix and will not be available on competing platforms such as Spotify or Apple’s podcast app.
In a statement regarding the project, Davidson expressed his excitement: “Netflix was the home of one of my first stand-up specials. So it felt right to bring the podcast there, too. It’s me and my friends talking about anything and everything. It’s going to be a great time.”
As of now, Netflix has not revealed any details about the podcast’s initial guests. This new venture further cements Davidson’s collaboration with the streaming platform, which has previously produced four comedy specials and events featuring the comedian.
The podcast announcement follows a significant personal milestone for Davidson. Recently, he welcomed his first child, a daughter named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. The couple announced the birth on social media, sharing that their daughter arrived on December 12, 2025. In her Instagram post, Hewitt referred to Scottie as “our perfect angel girl,” expressing her overwhelming joy and gratitude.
Scottie is named in honor of Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who tragically lost his life during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. This connection adds a personal touch to Davidson’s public persona, as he navigates both his burgeoning family life and his career in entertainment.
