L.A. County Launches 140 New Vote Centers Ahead of Nov. 4 Election

UPDATE: Los Angeles County has just announced the opening of an additional 140 vote centers for the upcoming November 4, 2025 special election, bringing the total to 251 sites available for in-person voting. This expansion aims to enhance voter accessibility ahead of critical decisions on redrawing California’s congressional districts.

All vote centers will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing voters to cast their ballots, register, and return vote-by-mail ballots conveniently. Voters can find their nearest locations through a postcard mailed to them, which lists the 11-day and 4-day vote centers available.

“We are committed to ensuring voters have convenient options to cast their ballots early,” said Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan. “Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”

With the election date fast approaching, this move is critical for boosting participation and ensuring that every voice is heard in this significant electoral process. Voters who missed the registration deadline can still participate by visiting any vote center to complete a conditional voter registration and cast their ballot.

A complete list and map of all vote center locations can be accessed online at locator.lavote.gov, complete with GPS tracking to help voters find the most convenient options.

As the election nears, the emphasis on early voting is expected to ease the burden on polling places and minimize long lines on Election Day. This initiative reflects the county’s proactive approach to facilitate smoother voting experiences, especially in a heavily populated area like Los Angeles.
