The game kicked off with VSU taking an early lead at 4-0, thanks to a jumper from senior Aryana Hicks and a layup from sophomore Ka’Miah Pryor. However, Lynn quickly responded and surged ahead, marking their dominance with a pivotal three-pointer from Hannah Wentworth that shifted momentum.
As the first quarter concluded, the Fighting Knights led 23-14, fueled by their aggressive offensive tactics and consistent free-throw shooting. Despite a valiant effort from the Lady Blazers, including contributions from sophomore Amaya Broadus, Lynn capitalized on their scoring opportunities, extending their lead to 44-22 by halftime.
