UPDATE: A dramatic incident unfolded in Gates Mills, Ohio early this morning as a drunken man fled his girlfriend’s vehicle during a heated argument. At 2:25 a.m. on November 28, 2023, the woman reported that her boyfriend exited the car abruptly near Echo Glen.
Authorities quickly located the man walking towards Chester. He assured officers that he was unharmed and had already called his aunt for a ride back to Chardon. The man left the vehicle due to the escalating dispute, raising concerns about safety in the area.
In a separate incident, police responded to a domestic disturbance on November 25 at 11:45 p.m. on Battles Road. Officers intervened in a heated argument between a husband and wife over financial issues. Fortunately, no violence was reported, and the woman chose to leave the residence for the night.
Earlier that same day, police received reports of suspicious activity on Carpenter Road, where a resident spotted a flashing light in a barn. Officers investigated but found no one inside or anything unusual.

At 1 a.m. on November 27, officers checked on a suspicious vehicle on West Hill Drive that had been circling a cul-de-sac for about 15 minutes. They found the driver and a friend engaged in conversation before the friend was dropped off at her home.
Additionally, a crash occurred on Mayfield Road on November 28, when an eastbound vehicle veered off the road and collided with a utility pole near St. Francis Church. The driver, a Chester resident, was unharmed; however, his Tesla required towing due to snowy road conditions.
