URGENT UPDATE: A pedestrian was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash in Denver early Sunday morning, and police have arrested the suspect within hours of the incident. The accident occurred at 2:16 a.m. at the intersection of 16th and Market Streets, where a digital kiosk was struck and toppled onto the victim.
Authorities confirm that 27-year-old Milton McBride was taken into custody later that day on Wazee Street. Surveillance footage revealed a shocking sequence of events leading to the crash, starting with McBride driving through the gate arm of a parking garage on 15th Street before losing control of his pickup truck.
The collision caused the kiosk, which features two large 65-inch screens, to fall onto the unidentified pedestrian, who died at the scene. Eyewitnesses captured a man fleeing from the red pickup truck as chaos erupted around them.

During the search for McBride, officers discovered a Ziplock bag with a white powdery substance, suspected to be cocaine, in his left pants pocket. A blood draw was conducted at Denver Health Medical Center to determine his blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash.
