BREAKING: Henry “Joe” Lizotte, Jr., a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, has passed away at the age of 82. Joe, who lived a life filled with love and adventure, died on October 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of family values and cherished memories.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elaine Lizotte, along with his brother, Phillip, and sisters Nancy Beauchesne and Jeanne Bogdzewic. He was the proud father of three sons—Steven and Donna (Urbanek), Jeffrey and Lisa (Wagner), and Gregory and Christine (Strout)—and a doting grandfather to six grandchildren: Courtney Dana, Brooke, Jack, Lindsey Yaylaian, and twins Tyler and Emily. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Grayson, Chloe, and Cecelia.
Born on September 9, 1943, in Lowell’s Little Canada neighborhood, Joe grew up in West Tewksbury. He met Elaine at a house party, and they married shortly after his graduation from Lowell Trade School in 1962. Joe’s pride in his sons and their families was evident, shaping their lives with strong values and unwavering support.
Joe’s life was characterized by love, laughter, and loyalty. His family described him as a man who “lived big and loved bigger,” embodying qualities that touched everyone around him.
In lieu of flowers, family members urge donations in Joe’s memory to the American Heart Association, reflecting his commitment to health and wellness.
A public viewing is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Dracut Funeral Home, located at 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A brief prayer service will commence at approximately 12:30 PM.
