Hallettsville-Sacred Heart Indians Finish Fourth at St. Joseph Invite

The Hallettsville-Sacred Heart Indians boys golf team achieved a commendable fourth-place finish at the St. Joseph Invitational held on March 18, 2024, at the Victoria Country Club. The team collectively posted a score of 439, demonstrating strong competitive spirit throughout the event.

Leading the Indians was Bryce Chovanetz, who recorded the best individual score for his team with a total of 96. Chovanetz’s performance was pivotal in securing the team’s position, followed closely by his teammates: Cole Taylor with 109, Brennan Ralston at 114, Weston Trobl scoring 120, and Tyler Tumis finishing with 136.

In the girls’ division, the Sacred Heart team faced a challenge as only three golfers participated, which meant they could not secure a team score. Despite this, individual performances were notable. Avery Beach finished third overall with a score of 106, while Mabry Machac closely followed in fourth place, also scoring 106. Ella Demel rounded out the team with a score of 114.
