Five LPGA Stars Commit to Women’s TGL Indoor League Launch

The Women’s TGL Indoor League (WTGL) has secured early commitments from five prominent players in women’s golf, marking a significant step towards its anticipated launch. The league, a tech-enhanced format of golf set to take place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will feature Jeeno Thitikul, the World No. 1 from Thailand; Charley Hull, ranked fifth globally from England; Lydia Ko, a Hall of Famer from New Zealand; Brooke Henderson, Canada’s most successful golfer; and Lexi Thompson, a seven-time U.S. Solheim Cup participant.

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the league’s potential to showcase the talents of the LPGA Tour stars. “WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA Tour stars, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best,” he stated. McCarley highlighted that the league aims to enhance fan engagement through its innovative format, which includes every player being mic’d, allowing for a deeper connection with audiences.

The WTGL is slated to launch during the 2026-27 LPGA offseason, with additional players expected to join the roster. The exact details surrounding team formations and broadcast arrangements are still under development.

In an era where sports are increasingly blending technology and entertainment, the WTGL promises to deliver a fresh perspective on the game of golf. The league’s modern match play format aims to create an electrifying atmosphere that showcases both the competitive spirit and unique personalities of the players.

As the inaugural season approaches, the excitement around this innovative league continues to build, indicating strong potential for a successful debut and a new chapter in women’s professional golf.
