Kettle On Plans New Oceanside Cafe Location Expansion

The San Diego-based coffee shop, Kettle On, is set to expand its presence by opening a new location in Oceanside. This development comes after the submission of a liquor license application for a proposed café named Kettle on Coast, which will occupy the space at 223 N Coast Hwy. While specific details regarding the opening timeline remain undisclosed, this marks an exciting step for the growing coffee chain.

Currently, the site is home to Petite Madeleine Bakery by the Beach, a well-established establishment that has been serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, and French pastries since its launch in 2011. The bakery, owned by Christine Loyola, continues to operate as of now, making the transition into the new café space noteworthy for the local community.

The new Oceanside location will be the third for owner Givino Rossini, who is listed on the liquor license application. In 2023, Rossini acquired the Escondido café Kettle Coffee and Tea and successfully rebranded it to Kettle on Grand. Following that, he opened Kettle on Main in Fallbrook at the start of 2025 in a space that previously housed The Hearth.

Kettle On locations are known for their emphasis on community engagement, offering breakfast and lunch menus alongside a variety of coffee and pastries. Notably, Kettle on Grand also features an extensive wine selection and a rotating array of craft beers. The cafés regularly host events aimed at fostering community connection, such as the monthly “Bottomless Beats” DJ series and DIY craft nights, making them vibrant social hubs.

While both Rossini and Loyola were unavailable for comment at the time of publication, the community eagerly anticipates the arrival of Kettle on Coast. As local residents look forward to the new offerings, the café aims to continue its tradition of serving quality food and beverages in a welcoming atmosphere.
