Authorine Marie (Dees) Boone, a cherished member of the community, passed away on October 22, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was born on May 5, 1951, in Albany, New York, and was the only daughter of the late Willie James Dees and Margaret (Dees) Sandifer. Her life was marked by dedication to family, career, and a passion for crafting.

After earning her Associates degree, Authorine spent a significant portion of her career as an Executive Assistant at General Electric. Her professional contributions were well-respected, and she was known for her commitment to excellence in her role. Authorine married the late Paul Boone, with whom she raised two daughters, Andrea and Paula, in Schenectady, New York.

In 2010, Authorine made the decision to relocate to Florida. This move allowed her to embrace a coastal lifestyle that she enjoyed immensely. Crafting remained a favorite hobby throughout her life, reflecting her creative spirit and love for personal expression.

The community will gather to honor Authorine during memorial services on November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilborn Temple, located at 161 Jay Street, Albany, NY. Following the service, interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Albany. Friends, family, and community members are expected to come together to celebrate her life and legacy.
