The Business and Industry Association celebrated its 2025 Lifetime Achievement and New Hampshire Advantage awards during its 112th annual Dinner and Awards Celebration on October 22, 2025. The event, hosted by Eversource, took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester and gathered nearly 700 influential figures from New Hampshire’s business, political, and opinion sectors.
Lifetime Achievement Awards Recognize Distinguished Leaders
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to three prominent individuals: retiring United States Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Sink, the outgoing president and CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and Alexander Walker, former president and CEO of Catholic Medical Center. The awards honor leaders who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to their professions and communities, significantly shaping New Hampshire through their business successes and civic participation.
Senator Shaheen has had a groundbreaking political career, becoming the first woman in the United States to serve as both a governor and a U.S. senator. Over her more than three decades in office, she has championed various causes, including economic growth, affordable healthcare access, veterans’ support, and environmental protection.
Tim Sink has dedicated over thirty years to strengthening the local business community in Concord and the Capital Region. As the longest-tenured chamber executive in New Hampshire, Sink has played a crucial role in fostering economic development and enhancing the area’s livability. He is respected as a mentor and role model within the industry.
Alexander Walker has made significant contributions to New Hampshire’s business, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. His leadership journey includes key roles at Catholic Medical Center and previously serving as president and CEO of the notable law firm Devine Millimet. Beyond his corporate achievements, Walker has actively participated on various civic and educational boards, including Granite United Way and the Palace Theatre.
Swim With A Mission Receives NH Advantage Award
The New Hampshire Advantage Award was awarded to Swim With A Mission, an organization dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans, service members, and their families. Founded in 2017 by Phil and Julie Taub, the organization has raised millions through community events, such as its annual open-water swim on Newfound Lake and Navy SEAL demonstrations.
The funds generated by Swim With A Mission directly benefit veteran service organizations, providing essential resources like housing, healthcare, service dogs, job training, and mental health support. This award recognizes the organization’s significant impact on enhancing the quality of life in New Hampshire.
The celebration was not only a networking opportunity for some of the state’s most influential leaders but also a testament to the commitment these individuals and organizations have towards improving their communities. The awards reflect the values of leadership, service, and dedication that define New Hampshire’s business landscape.
