Alzheimer’s Research Update Event Set for October 22 in Texas

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research Update is scheduled for October 22, 2025, at the Port Arthur Public Library. The event will start at 2 p.m. and will feature State Representative Christian Manuel as the special guest. Attendees can expect discussions about the latest advancements in Alzheimer’s research and treatments, along with advocacy efforts for Proposition 14 spearheaded by the Alzheimer’s Association.

Hosted by Christina Crawford, a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association, the event aims to engage the public in meaningful dialogue about how they can contribute to dementia research in Texas. This update will provide vital insights into current scientific breakthroughs and the importance of community involvement in advancing research.

Additional Event at Stellar Bank

In addition to the afternoon session, a similar event will be held earlier that day at 9 a.m. in the boardroom of Stellar Bank, located at 5999 Delaware St. in Beaumont. This session will also focus on recent developments in Alzheimer’s research and advocacy.
