Tift Theatre Launches Auditions for Exciting Masked Singer Contest

The Tift Theatre in Tifton is set to host auditions for its eagerly awaited Masked Singer competition, inviting local talent to showcase their singing abilities. Auditions will take place on January 6 and January 8, 2026, from 17:30 to 19:00 each day, allowing residents the opportunity to perform their chosen love song.

Following a successful inaugural event last year, which debuted around Valentine’s Day, the theatre aims to recreate the excitement of the reality television show that inspired it. The first edition featured a variety of contestants performing in elaborate costumes, captivating audiences with both love songs and personal favorites. Feedback from the community was overwhelmingly positive, prompting theatre manager Kezia Larry to bring the contest back for a second year.

Participants in the upcoming competition will perform in front of an audience and a panel of judges, including the previous year’s winner. Contestants will be evaluated based on their performances and the support they receive from fans in attendance. The winner will be awarded a grand trophy, adding to the competitive spirit of the event.

Aspiring singers interested in auditioning do not need to wear costumes for the initial tryouts. However, those selected to compete in the main event will receive assistance from the theatre in obtaining a costume. Entrants must be at least sixteen years old to participate.
