Canadian Team Triumphs at 2026 World Snow Sculpting Championship

Team Fjordwitches, a talented trio from Quebec, Canada, clinched victory at the **2026 World Snow Sculpting Championship** held in Stillwater, Minnesota, from March 1 to March 3. The team, composed of **Fanny-Fay Tremblay-Girard**, **Joelle Gagnon**, and **Marie-Claude-Paris-Tanguay**, outperformed 15 international competitors with their remarkable sculpture titled “The Inosculation of Souls.” Their work not only secured them the championship title but also a **$1,500** prize.

This year’s event highlighted the incredible skills of snow sculptors from around the globe. Team Fjordwitches previously won the championship in **2024**, demonstrating their continued excellence in this unique art form. Strong performances were noted from other teams as well. **Team Falcon** from Mongolia secured the second place, earning **$1,000**, while **Team Kawsay** from Peru took home the **People’s Choice Award** and **$500** for their impressive sculpture. Team Thailand rounded out the top three, claiming **$500** for their third-place finish.

The championship attracted over **67,000** visitors to Stillwater during its four-day run, making it a hallmark of the city’s annual **World Snow Celebration**. This festival continues until March 10, featuring live music, culinary events, a winter market, and family-friendly activities.
