Born on April 29, 1941, in Lowell, Maureen was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Christine (Duffy) Heafy. A proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro, Class of 1959, she went on to create a warm family home with her husband, the late Robert ‘Bob’ O’Malley, with whom she shared a remarkable 53-year marriage until his passing in April 2018.

Maureen dedicated over 15 years of her life as a secretary at Greater Lowell Vocational High School. However, her greatest joy came from her family. She is remembered for her unwavering support and love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether through family meals, lively conversations, or festive holiday celebrations, Maureen’s spirit brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.

Maureen especially loved celebrating holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and the Fourth of July, bringing enthusiasm and cheer to every occasion. Her legacy continues through her two children, Scott O’Malley of Lowell and Kellie Amari, along with her husband, Peter Amari of Townsend. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn O’Malley, Michael Amari, and Shawn Amari, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Brody Palmer and Levi Palmer.
