UPDATE: The Cleveland Jewish News is set to honor 18 Difference Makers at its prestigious awards ceremony on December 11, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in Landerhaven, Mayfield Heights. This annual event celebrates community leaders whose contributions have positively impacted the Jewish community and beyond.

Among the honorees, Erika Gold, a 93-year-old Holocaust survivor, will receive the Sam Miller Lifetime Achievement Award. Gold, an inaugural member of the 2015 Difference Makers class, has dedicated decades to sharing her powerful story with schools and organizations.

In addition, Lee Fisher, the president of Baldwin Wallace University, will be awarded the Civic Leadership Award, recognizing his significant contributions to legal education and community service in Ohio.

The Generation Award will be presented to the renowned Wain family, including Beth Wain Brandon, Amy Wain, Cathy Stamler, and David Wain. Their late father, Norman Wain, was a legendary radio station owner and community leader, and his legacy of service continues through his children.
