Community Talent Show “Harvest of Love” Set for Nov. 22

URGENT UPDATE: The annual “Harvest of Love” Community Talent Show is set to take place THIS Saturday, November 22, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the St. Anna School gymnasium in Leominster. Hosted by Our Lady of the Lake Parish, this event promises to be a vibrant evening of performances while also serving a greater purpose: raising funds for the parish and supporting the youth group’s upcoming Catholic Youth in Action service trip to Indiana next July.

Father Kenneth Cardinale, pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, emphasizes the importance of this event saying, “The show is not only about entertainment; it’s about bringing the community together.” The evening will feature a dazzling array of talent, including music, dance, comedy, poetry, gymnastics, and storytelling, showcasing the skills of parishioners and friends of all ages.

Tickets are affordably priced at $10 for adults and teens, $5 for children ages 5-12, and free for children under 5, with a maximum charge of $30 per family. A 50/50 raffle will also be held, with tickets available for just $3 each, $5 for 3, or $10 for 10. Attendees can purchase tickets in advance at the parish office located at 1400 Main St., or at the door on the night of the show.

In addition to the performances, guests can enjoy baked goods and beverages, including cold and hot cider, before the show and during intermission. This community effort has seen volunteers dedicate weeks to preparation and organization, a testament to the collaborative spirit that Father Cardinale describes as “co-creating with God” to uplift the community.

Beyond the fun, the event carries a deeper message. “Celebrating creativity and the unique gifts of the community is a way of honoring God,” Father Cardinale stated. “Let us all focus on gratitude, believing that artistic expression can bring people closer to God and to one another.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a heartwarming evening that strengthens community ties while enjoying a variety of performances. For more information, contact Our Lady of the Lake at 978-342-2978.
