Trenton’s Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting Set for December 5

URGENT UPDATE: Trenton is gearing up for its annual holiday festivities, with the highly anticipated Christmas parade and tree lighting scheduled for December 5. The celebration kicks off at 3:00 PM at City Hall, promising to deliver a spectacular display of holiday cheer.

The centerpiece of this event is a magnificent 43-foot Norway Spruce tree, freshly transported from Pun’kin Hollow Farms in Stockton, NJ. Adorned with over 19,000 LED lights and topped with a stunning 48-inch shimmering star, this 35-year-old tree is set to illuminate the Capital City and create a magical experience for attendees.

Following a cherished tradition, the parade will traverse all four wards of Trenton, featuring delightful holiday-themed floats, carolers, and live music. Families can expect a special surprise, as Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be handing out gifts to children along the parade route.

For those unable to attend the parade, the festivities continue with musical and dance performances, along with a heartfelt address from the Mayor and city officials. A warming station will also be available, serving hot chocolate and cookies to keep spirits high in the chilly December air.

As the parade concludes at City Hall, Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor to light the Christmas tree, marking a special moment for the community. Children will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa in the City Hall atrium after the tree lighting ceremony.

This year’s celebration is more than just a festive gathering; it’s a cherished community event that brings families together to celebrate the spirit of the season.
