Hayley Williams Implements New Ticketing Strategy for Solo Tour

Hayley Williams is taking bold steps to combat ticket scalping for her upcoming solo tour. The singer-songwriter has announced a presale strategy designed to ensure that fans can purchase tickets at face value, rather than risking inflated prices from resellers. Williams emphasized the challenges of the current ticketing system, stating, “It’s a broken and convoluted system,” in a recent Instagram post.

The tour, aptly named the Hayley Williams at a Bachelorette Party Tour, is set to kick off in North America on March 28, 2025. To address the issue of scalping, Williams has partnered with Openstage to implement a verified fan presale. Registration for the presale will open on November 10 at 10 a.m. ET and close on November 11 at 10 a.m. ET. During this period, fans must register and will later need to verify their identity through two-factor authentication to receive a unique access code for ticket purchases.

While not every verified fan is guaranteed to secure a ticket, the new approach aims to limit competition to genuine fans rather than automated bots or scalpers. Williams remarked, “I want to get tickets into the hands of my fans, at a price that is as reasonable as I could get it.”

The measures include a resale plan that allows fans to sell tickets at face value only. This initiative aims to curb inflated ticket prices on platforms such as Ticketmaster, AXS, SeatGeek, and StubHub. Additionally, ticket transfers will be disabled in certain locations, including New York and Chicago, further restricting the potential for tickets to be resold for profit.

Williams acknowledged the limitations of her approach, stating, “I can’t wait to be back on the road and see all of your faces. We’ll dance, scream, and cry together.” Despite the challenges in the ticketing landscape, she remains optimistic about creating a better experience for her fans.

The full schedule for the Hayley Williams at a Bachelorette Party Tour includes stops in major cities across North America, with significant performances scheduled in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Fans will have multiple chances to see Williams perform tracks from her latest album, Ego Death, released in August.

In her statement, Williams expressed gratitude for the efforts of her team, who have dedicated substantial time to finding solutions for fans looking to purchase tickets. While acknowledging that the system may not be perfect, she is hopeful that these changes will alleviate some of the frustrations often associated with concert ticket purchases.

As anticipation builds for the tour, fans are encouraged to take advantage of the presale registration to secure their tickets. With these new measures in place, Williams aims to ensure that her concerts remain accessible to her dedicated fan base.
