Valley Forge Casino Resort is set to enhance its culinary offerings with the introduction of a new steakhouse and cigar lounge in partnership with basketball legend and television personality Charles Barkley. This exciting venture is scheduled to open in 2026 and aims to provide a unique dining experience that reflects Barkley’s deep connections to the Philadelphia area.
In his own words, Barkley expressed his enthusiasm: “The Philadelphia area has always felt like home to me, and I’m thrilled to bring something new to a community that’s played such a big part in my life.” He aims to create a space that combines fun, comfort, and a vibrant atmosphere, where patrons can enjoy great meals while soaking in the local spirit.
Steakhouse and Cigar Lounge Design
The steakhouse will blend contemporary elegance with personal touches that celebrate Barkley’s storied career. Guests can expect to see personal memorabilia and design elements that honor his legacy and his strong ties to the greater Philadelphia region. Adjacent to the restaurant, the cigar lounge will offer a luxurious, club-like environment, featuring a walk-in humidor as its centerpiece, along with private lockers and a bar area.

Barkley’s Dual Career and Community Impact
Recognized as one of the greatest players in NBA history, Barkley rose to fame as a power forward for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1984 to 1992. After retiring from the NBA in 2000, he transitioned into a successful career as an NBA analyst, becoming a well-known commentator on “Inside the NBA” over the past 25 years.
In addition to shaping the restaurant’s menu and overall vision, Barkley’s collaboration with the casino includes a national partnership to feature spirits from Redmont Distilling Co., which is Barkley’s signature liquor brand. Boyd Gaming, the parent company of Valley Forge Casino Resort, will also contribute annually to The Charles Barkley Foundation, which focuses on supporting education and historically Black colleges and universities.
The establishment of this steakhouse represents a significant step in Valley Forge Casino Resort’s ongoing multi-year transformation.
