Authorities report that the driver was heading north on SOM Center Road when he veered off the right shoulder, colliding with the pole that supports a village-leased camera designed to monitor traffic. No evidence of insurance was presented by the driver at the scene, and an immediate damage estimate has not yet been disclosed. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by reckless driving and the importance of adhering to traffic laws.
