Francis J. Zabierek, 68, Passes Away; Remembered for Community Impact

URGENT UPDATE: Francis J. Zabierek, affectionately known as Frank, has passed away at the age of 68. The Nashua, NH community mourns the loss of a dedicated father, veteran, and advocate for faith, who died peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service and devotion.

Born in Lowell, MA, and raised in Dracut, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduating high school, serving honorably for four years. He later graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and dedicated 37 years to the U.S. Postal Service before retiring in 2019.

Frank was not only a family man, but also a passionate communicator of his Christian faith. He actively shared his beliefs through local access TV and online platforms, including his blog, “One Bad Decision Away from Homelessness,” where he explored the fragility of life. His commitment to community service was evident in his 136 lifetime blood donations to the American Red Cross, earning him the prestigious “17 Gallon pin” in 2023.

A beloved member of the Nashua community, Frank was involved with the Dom Polski club and the Polish-American Veterans in Lowell. Known for his love of Boston sports teams, karaoke, and political debates, he brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Frank’s visitation on MONDAY, October 27th from 3 until 5:30 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, located at 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A service will follow at 5:30 PM, with private interment scheduled at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen.
