UPDATE: Bryan Edward Carpentier, aged 81, of Iron River, Wisconsin, has passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. This heartfelt news comes as friends and community members prepare to honor a man whose creativity, generosity, and kindness touched countless lives.
Bryan was born in Southington, Connecticut, and was the eldest of five siblings. He is survived by his brothers, Skip, Charlie, and Ron, his sister, Sue, and his beloved girlfriend, Margie. His legacy continues through his children—Robert (Jenny), David (Susan), and Wendy (Jeff)—and his cherished grandchildren, including Zoe, Kayla, Jacob, Skylar, Zachary, Rylee, and McKenzie.
Known for his gentle demeanor, Bryan dedicated over 26 years to serving his country in the Air Force and the 148th Fighter Wing Minnesota Air National Guard. His commitment to service did not end there; he was also an active member of the Trinity Free Masonic Lodge #282 for over 54 years and contributed significantly to the Shriners International organization.
Bryan’s impact extended deeply into his community as he volunteered for the Bentleyville City of Duluth Holiday Lights Display for more than 17 years. His roles on the Electrical, Santa, and Marketing teams brought joy to many during the holiday season.
A full military honors memorial service will take place on October 31st at 3:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM at the AAD Shrine Meeting & Event Center in Hermantown, MN.
