Emails recently disclosed by the Department of Justice have brought renewed attention to the relationship between Steve Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants, and the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The correspondence, dating back to 2013, suggests a troubling dynamic focused predominantly on Epstein’s ability to introduce Tisch to young women, rather than any philanthropic or business discussions typically seen in Epstein’s other high-profile connections.
In late 2011, a Russian model reached out to Epstein, voicing her frustrations over unmet promises to introduce her to influential figures in the entertainment industry. Her email detailed the extent of her involvement with Epstein, which included travel arrangements and personal expenses covered by him. She specifically requested introductions to individuals associated with Victoria’s Secret or prominent film producers.
The following year, Epstein passed the model’s contact information to Tisch, who subsequently met with her. The model later communicated to Epstein that Tisch was “really great,” indicating a successful introduction. This exchange is part of a broader pattern of interactions between Tisch and Epstein that have raised questions about the nature of their relationship.
During a recent hearing held by the House Judiciary Committee, Representative Zoe Lofgren of California questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi about the implications of these emails. Lofgren asked whether they constituted credible evidence warranting further investigation into Tisch’s involvement with Epstein’s criminal activities. Bondi noted that while she could not comment on specifics, any case involving victims would be investigated thoroughly.
After the story broke, Tisch released a statement characterizing his association with Epstein as “brief” and emphasized that the women discussed in their correspondence were adults. He stated, “As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.” The New York Giants declined to make further comments beyond this statement.
The email exchanges reveal that Tisch was introduced to Epstein through Todd Meister, a hedge fund manager with ties to Epstein’s network. In April 2013, after Tisch agreed to join Epstein for breakfast, their communications shifted to more personal matters. Within weeks, they began discussing women in explicit terms, with Epstein presenting various options to Tisch, including one described as having a “10 ass” and another identified as an “exotic” Tahitian woman.
Despite Epstein’s history as a convicted sex offender, which included a 13-month sentence for prior offenses, Tisch engaged with him, as noted by emails from that time. While Tisch was known for his Hollywood connections, he was also labeled a “lothario” in gossip columns.
One notable exchange between the two men demonstrated Epstein’s ongoing attempts to match Tisch with women. Epstein, who had already faced numerous lawsuits from sex abuse victims, appeared to have no reservations about facilitating introductions. He once wrote to Tisch, “I am happy to have you as a new but obviously shared interest friend.”
Following these introductions, at least four women were brought into Tisch’s orbit through Epstein. None of the women contacted for this report responded, but one attorney representing a woman claimed she had suffered significant abuse at Epstein’s hands during their association.
Epstein’s matchmaking efforts continued through 2013, with Tisch expressing interest in meeting various women. In one instance, a woman communicated to Epstein that Tisch had been “weird,” indicating that he sought a relationship beyond friendship. She ultimately expressed her concerns about Tisch, stating she feared he would “suck my youth without helping me.”
The correspondence between Tisch and Epstein reportedly dwindled after August 2017, with their last recorded exchange revealing a casual tone. Tisch sent an email expressing goodwill, while Epstein invited him to visit.
As scrutiny around Epstein’s connections continues to grow, the full extent of Tisch’s involvement with the disgraced financier remains a point of concern for both the public and authorities. The implications of these exchanges are still unfolding, potentially leading to further investigations into the nature of their relationship and its broader impact.
