Three children of prominent “Real Housewives” stars have officially begun filming for the upcoming series Next Gen LA. Us Weekly has confirmed that Sophia Umansky, Nick Dubrow, and Mason Grammer are part of this new venture, which is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, Next Gen NYC, which premiered in June 2025.
Filming is currently underway in Los Angeles, with Sophia, the 26-year-old daughter of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, recently spotted at the Galerie nightclub with the cast. A source revealed that the production is still in its early stages, generating anticipation among fans. Us Weekly has reached out to Bravo for an official comment regarding the series.
Sophia gained recognition on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where her mother has been a central figure since the show’s inception in 2010. She also appeared in season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills, a Netflix series centered around her father’s real estate business. This new role comes after the public announcement in 2023 that Kyle and Mauricio had separated following 27 years of marriage.
Nick Dubrow, aged 22, is another notable addition to the cast. He is one of the four children of Heather Dubrow and her husband Terry Dubrow. Nick has been featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County, thanks to his mother’s long-standing involvement in the series since 2012. As a twin with his sister Max Dubrow, Nick has grown up in the spotlight, making him a familiar face to fans.
Mason Grammer brings her own legacy to the show. The 24-year-old daughter of Camille Grammer and actor Kelsey Grammer, Mason has been associated with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since her mother’s debut in 2010. Camille left the series at the end of season 9 but has made guest appearances in subsequent seasons. Mason is also the sister of Jude Grammer, 21, and has been navigating the entertainment landscape, including a modeling career.
Rumors of Next Gen LA began circulating in summer 2025, following the success of Next Gen NYC. The New York series showcased the lives of Housewife children such as Gia Giudice, Brooks Marks, Ariana Biermann, and Riley Burruss, as they adapted to life in the city. During that time, Adrienne Maloof and Cynthia Bailey indicated that their children had been approached to join the California-based version of the show.
In a June 2025 appearance on the podcast Jeff Lewis Live, Adrienne mentioned that her son Gavin Maloof, 22, along with her twin sons Collin and Christian, 19, were being considered for the cast. Cynthia added that her daughter Noelle, 26, had also received an invitation to participate.
Mason’s mother, Camille, was discreet when asked about her daughter’s potential involvement during the BravoCon event in November 2025. She stated, “We’ll see,” and acknowledged the rumors surrounding casting. Camille expressed her support for Mason, offering advice on how to handle the realities of the television industry. “Just be herself. She’s such a good, level-headed person,” she remarked. “She might be too sweet for a reality show, but she’s tough. She can stand up for herself. She won’t back down, I know that.”
As anticipation builds for Next Gen LA, fans eagerly await more details about the series and its cast. With the connections these young adults have to established reality television figures, the show promises to deliver engaging content as they navigate their lives under the public eye.
