The annual celebration honoring the legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. is set to take place on January 18 and 19, 2026, in Valdosta, Georgia. The central event will be a Sunday Service held at 3 p.m. on January 18 at the Morning Star Baptist Church, located at 1051 Howell Road. The program will feature Rev. Naamen Hooker, the church’s pastor, as the keynote speaker.
On the following day, January 19, the Youth Program will take place at 11 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center on 3101 Barack Obama Blvd. This event aims to showcase the talents of young people from Valdosta and nearby communities, encouraging them to participate in various performances, including singing, dancing, and dramatic presentations.
The church is actively seeking youth performers who are interested in showcasing their talents.
