Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Navigators to Visit Los Gatos Library on Jan. 6

URGENT UPDATE: A member of the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Navigator team will be at the Los Gatos Library on January 6, 2024, offering critical support for mental health and substance use issues. This visit is part of an initiative designed to provide personalized assistance, information, and connections to vital local resources for residents facing behavioral health challenges.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity for drop-in sessions, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those unable to attend in person can contact the service at 1-800-704-0900, selecting option 4, or email [email protected] for assistance. This initiative underscores the county’s commitment to enhancing mental health resources within the community.

In addition to this vital health service, the Los Gatos Library is also hosting a series of enriching activities. On January 5, 2024, an event for needlework and textile art enthusiasts will take place, welcoming participants of all skill levels to bring their projects and engage with fellow creatives. This weekly gathering aims to foster community connections and artistic collaboration.

Moreover, the New Museum Los Gatos is offering free workshops to create accordion books from Thursdays to Sundays through February 1. Attendees will learn techniques to fold and glue pages, creating unique spaces for personal reflections or gifts. These workshops are inspired by renowned book and fiber artist Jody Alexander and provide an excellent opportunity for creative expression as the new year begins.
