New Kia Seltos Unveiled: Bigger, More Features, Affordable!

UPDATE: The highly anticipated new Kia Seltos has just been unveiled in South Korea, boasting significant upgrades in size and features aimed at maintaining its affordability. U.S. sales are set to commence in 2026, likely as a 2027 model, with a starting price of just $23,690.

This new iteration of the Seltos, which has sold over 2 million units globally, seeks to capture the magic of Kia’s larger Telluride and EV9 models. With an increase of 1.8 inches in length, the new Seltos measures 174.4 inches long and features a wider stance and a sportier profile, designed to enhance both passenger comfort and cargo space.

Kia is doubling down on consumer demand for technology and space, introducing a hybrid version for the first time, expected in late 2026, while adding two new trim levels: the sporty GT-Line and rugged X-Line. The Seltos will incorporate cutting-edge technology, including a ChatGPT-powered virtual assistant for navigation and enhanced connectivity features.

Key specifications include:
– Length: 174.4 inches
– Wheelbase: 105.9 inches
– Width: 72 inches
– Height: 63 inches

The 2026 Seltos will be equipped with three gasoline engine options, producing up to 193 horsepower, along with a diverse transmission lineup including manual and dual-clutch automatics. The hybrid model will further broaden this selection, although specific engine offerings for the U.S. market have yet to be confirmed.

Kia’s strategy also includes expanding its market presence in Europe and enhancing production capabilities in India, South Korea, and China. With expectations to sell 430,000 units annually, the new Seltos is a cornerstone of Kia’s global sales strategy.

The updated design features a bold grille and modern styling cues reminiscent of the Telluride, enhancing its visual appeal. Inside, a dual 12.3-inch screen setup and improved acoustic insulation promise a quieter, more luxurious experience.

As Kia prepares to launch the new Seltos, consumers can look forward to a vehicle that combines style, technology, and affordability. Stay tuned for more updates as we learn about additional features and specifications closer to the launch date.
