URGENT UPDATE: The Madison County Senior Center has just announced a change in its suggested contributions for meal services, impacting seniors and guests alike. Effective immediately, the contribution for seniors aged 60 and over is now $6.00, while guests under 60 will be charged $8.00.
This new pricing will take effect from December 9, 2023, when the menu features a hearty Chicken & Rice Casserole alongside Harvard Beets, Seasoned Broccoli, and a dessert of Sunshine Cake. The following days offer a range of delicious meals, including Scrambled Eggs with Sausage on December 10, and Catfish or Cheeseburger on December 12.
In addition to the menu changes, the center hosts several engaging events for the community. Every Wednesday at 9 a.m., free Chair Yoga sessions aim to enhance wellness for participants. On Thursday evenings, a Jam Session from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will provide a lively atmosphere, with food served from 5 p.m.
Additionally, mark your calendars for the Serenity Care event on the 2nd Thursday of every month, offering free blood pressure and blood sugar checks from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..
Don’t miss the upcoming Bingo Night fundraiser on December 12, kicking off at 5:30 p.m. Entry is just $10 per person, with all proceeds supporting senior activities at the center.
