Lady Devils Secure Back-to-Back Wins at Thanksgiving Classic

The Tift County girl’s basketball team, known as the Lady Devils, achieved a notable feat by winning both of their games at the Insider Exposure Thanksgiving Classic, held from November 24-26, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL. With these victories, the team improved their season record to 4-1.

First Game: A Narrow Victory

In their opening match on November 25, the Lady Devils faced off against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals, who are currently 2-5 this season. The game proved to be a tight contest, with Tift County trailing 18-14 at halftime. However, a powerful second half performance, scoring 28 points, enabled them to come from behind and secure a 42-37 victory.

Top performers for the Lady Devils included Amiya Jordan, who led the scoring with 17 points, including a crucial ten points in the fourth quarter. Other contributors were Jayde Black with six points, Jaziyah Johnson with five points, and both Mackenzie Holiday and McKenzie Brewton, each adding four points.

Second Game: Defensive Dominance

The Lady Devils continued their winning streak in their second game against the Fletcher High School team. This matchup showcased Tift County’s defensive strength, allowing them to take a commanding lead of 30-10 at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the score stood at 39-15, reflecting their offensive efficiency.

In this game, Mackenzie Holiday shone brightly, recording a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Amiya Jordan contributed another solid performance with 13 points, while Jayde Black and Mariyah Batts added eight and seven points, respectively.

Following these successful outings, the Lady Devils are set to return home to face Warner Robins on December 4, 2025, at 6 p.m.. This upcoming game provides an opportunity for Tift County to build on their current momentum as they strive for further success this season.
